Be prepared for this holiday season with a Rainy-Day Account!

October 9, 2020

As we rapidly close in on the end of the year, it’s time to think about your holidays and if a Rainy-Day Account could benefit you in both the short and long-term.

Breaks are important. If you haven’t had one this year—and we know all too well that through bushfires and COVID-19 so many people have put off breaks—you are likely feeling fatigued, lacking in motivation and stressed. It’s time to break this cycle! And your payroll service can help!

We know that many contractors are fearful of taking a break without pay. As your payroll service, we want you to debunk the myth that as a contractor you have to take a break in pay when you take a break in work.

With a majority of departments and other organisations having a forced ‘shut-down’ period around Christmas, we know that contractors you can be without pay for up to a month, while other staff access leave over the holiday break.

This doesn’t have to be the case.

We have helped hundreds of contractors take regular holidays with their family and allowed others to take a break when an emergency takes them away from the office and requires their focus.

Our rainy-day account allows you to put away a portion of your income into an account that you can use on a ‘rainy day’ when you need to take some time off. It’s just like having paid leave and it allows you to be stress-free on your break, knowing you will be paid as you usually are.

And with the year that has been, a break has almost never been more important.

So, chat with us about setting up a rainy–day account so you can have continuity of pay when you need it. Email our payroll service team at hello@bookssorted.com.au or call 02 6161 8580.
